Cobweb yarns

Hand-dyed yarns

About Me, how it works March 6, 2009

Hello! I’m Jess, and I love to dye, mainly sock yarn, but I can’t possibly knit socks fast enough to satisfy my need to dye! So I started selling my yarns to friends and family. At the moment I dye using acid dyes, but I’m thinking of branching out in future and trying some natural dyes.

I do my dying at home, in my tiny kitchen, where I don’t even have room for a microwave!

How it works
If you see a yarn you like on the for sale page, please contact me at jess dot muirhead at gmail dot com. I take paypal or personal cheques. The stated price includes postage and packing – please be aware that I use recycled packinging whenever possible.

If your yarn arrives and you are not happy with it (it is very difficult to convey the full impression of a yarn and dye-job online) then please contact me as soon as possible. Under most circumstances I will offer a full refund if you return the yarn to me.

… and finally

I always love to see what people do with my creations and would love to see photos, and can post them here for others to see if you would like. You can find me on Ravelry as cobweb so feel free to share you projects with me there!

You can also find me waffling about my knitting adventures at my knitting blog ‘web knits
